4 DIY Ideas for Repurposing Old Clothing

If you have old clothes that you’re not using anymore, rather than disposing of them, you could turn them into great artifacts or accessories for your home.

Woven Rug

All those old t-shirts you’ve been hoarding in you closet could be turned into a magnificent rug. All you need to do is to cut up the fabric into long strips and braid them together. You can use your creativity to come up with unique designs that suit your preference.

Flower Pot Hanger

Once again, some braiding experience will be needed for this project. Using woven fabric strips, you could create a great suspended harness for a potted plant.  You can then hang the pots either indoors or outdoors. This is a great way of displaying potted plants or flowers in a unique way.

Baby Blanket

By stitching different fabric patches together, you could make a delightful little blanket for a baby.  You can give it a vibrant look by using colored or patterned fabrics.
